A Beautiful Day!

This past weekend some of our friends from Covenant got married! It was a beautiful day and we were glad to be a part of it! Congrats Brandon & Robyn!

Well, it is official! Not only did we get 52 free meals from Chikc-Fil-A but we got 104! Last night after church I called Matt to see how many people were in line for the free Chick-Fil-A for a year, and he told me only 71. I told him I would make my way over there and decided if I wanted to stay when I arrived. Well, it did not take much convincing. I got there unloaded my sleeping bag checked in and at 8:30 PM I took the #85 spot. That is how we now have 104 free meals from Chick-Fil-A.

What does 100 degrees, Chicken & my Husband all have in common?

CRAZY...that is what it equals! Matt woke up at 5:00 AM this morning to pack a cooler, make some sandwiches and pack a tent and pillow to spend the day and night at the Chick-Fil-A that is opening here in St. Louis. Why is he doing this you may ask? Well, the first 100 people in the doors tomorrow morning get Chick-Fil-A FREE for one whole year! They are give a coupon for 52 FREE value meals. So that equals a free meal once a week for a year! THAT IS THE CRAZY PART!
When Matt and Jason (one of his friends from seminary) arrived they were each given a number (they got numbers 4 & 5. Matt said they would have been first but there were 3 guys in front of them who spent the night there). Anyway, now that they have these numbers they are unable to leave the parking lot. Matt and Jason set up a tent, they have 3 big coolers full of ice with water, sandwiches and fruit.
Matt and Jason are calling me with updates about every hour. I just got a call that they were given a FREE gallon of Sweet Tea and two big cups of ice. Matt was also excited because he just met the son of the founder of Chick-Fil-A. The boys are having the time of their lives...who would have thought? Keep checking in for more updates on their adventure to FREE CHICK-FIL-A for a year!

Date Night!

Because Matt's week nights are so busy (Monday & Thursday nights are Hebrew and Tuesday & Wednesday nights are Youth Group). Anyways, we decided that Friday would be a great night to go on our dates. We went on a great date last Friday night. It was nothing spectacular it was just fun to be out and be together! We started our date by eating at Pei Wei (if you haven't been there yet you must try it). We ran into some friends from my work so we ate with them. After dinner we went to Golds Gym to check it out (we have been looking for a work-out place), then we went to Boarders. Matt sat and read a book for next semester and I read the new People Magazine for the week- it was fabulous! After Boarders we went out for icecream at Oberwise (again, another place you have to try if you have not been there yet). All in all it was a great night together!
