Emma Catherine Sawyers

My dear friend Nikki had her baby very early this morning. Nikki was quite the WOMAN because she had her baby naturally at home. Emma Catherine was born at 1:30 am and weighed in at 8lbs. 4oz. and was 19 inches long. She is a beautiful little girl and has brought a lot of joy to the Sawyers home. We took them dinner tonight and enjoyed the new baby. The sweetest moment of the evening was when we cut the cake and sang, Happy Birthday to Emma!





Sheylea was able to be there when her sister Emma was born. She told me that is was amazing, one minute she was crying tears of joy because she was so happy to see Emma but she was also crying tears of sadness because she was watching her Mommy in pain. What a sweetie she is.

Matt's Books updated...

Hey Everyone-
I just wanted to let everyone know that we updated Matt's Fall 09 Wish List on Amazon. His semester started on Thursday and he is very excited about his classes.

A treat...

What a treat is was to spend time with my Aunt Darlene & Uncle Ed and cousin Rob while we were in Florida. We do not get to see them much because they live in New York, but they planned their trip so it was the same time as ours. What fun we had with them. It was so good to see them and be able to spend the weekend with them...the best part though is that they bought a house so they can spend their winters in Florida! :)

We saw A LOT of family when we were home a couple of weeks ago. Andrew & Grace were exhausted by the end of our 4 days together. We had a pool party with my Dad, Kathy and my Aunt & Uncle that were in town too, from New York. It was a fun morning at the pool and the babies had a blast!

We are excited about this being our last semester at Covenant and for what the Lord has planned for us after. Please continue to pray for our family as we finish this chapter of our lives. We have LOVED being a part of the Covenant Seminary family and we will miss it when we move in December, but we are looking forward to the new journey we will start at the end of this year.

Kisses & Hugs in Florida...

We were in Florida last week visiting our family and Matt preached on Sunday. We had a great, busy weekend and Matt did a wonderful job preaching...but our weekend was started out like this...hugs and kisses.
Andrew is really into giving hugs and kisses on his time. He was feeling very generous the other night and everyone was loving it. What a sweet boy we have!

Sometime I feel like all I do all day is chase a 14 month around :). Andrew is all boy and he LOVES climbing. He will climb on everything. He has even tried to climb up our bookshelf. Here are just a few pictures of Andrew climbing...
