The Beach...

Well we are right in the middle of moving out of our house but I have to get some blogging in. Hopefully I can catch up on blogging from our FL trip. We had a great time seeing family and celebrating Andrew's first birthday.

We made a trip to the beach. With two babies and 90 degree weather we were not there long but it was still fun. Andrew LOVED the beach. He loved the water, the sand and just being outside. Grace on the other hand was a little overwhelmed. It was a lot of fun spending time with family and being able to enjoy the warm, sunny weather.

An update...

I know a lot of you are dying to see pictures from Andrew's first birthday and I will get them up soon, I promise we are just a little busy around here...
In the next few days we will be:
-Celebrating our 5 year Wedding Anniversary
-Having a party with our St. Louis friends (For Drew)
-Moving out of our house
-Moving into an apartment
-Getting a storage unit for all our stuff
-Matt will be starting school
...and trying to eat, sleep and live in between.

I will post pictures of our time in FL and share more of our exiting news...

Happy 1st Birthday, Andrew!

Today my son turns one! I can hardly believe it. What a blessing he has been to us. It is hard to believe that just a year ago today he was born. Matt and I can honestly say we don't remember life with out Andrew. He is such a happy, giggly boy. He loves people and thinks everyone is funny! There is nothing better than going to get him in the morning and seeing him jump in his crib for you. He gives the biggest and best hugs and if you are one of the lucky ones he will give you a kiss. His favorite foods are yogurt, cheese-sticks and grapes. Andrew can say Dada and Bow-Wow and he can sign, All Done, More and Amen. His favorite songs are, 'Thank you Jesus', 'The Wheels on the Bus', and 'Snuggle Up Together'. He loves playing outside and going to the park and he has a new found love for the beach. Andrew has the biggest blue eyes and when he smiles his whole face lights up. What a joy he is!

Thank you to my heavenly father for blessing our lives with this sweet boy. He is truly a gift from you and we strive to raise him to love you everyday!

Matt was doing some work outside yesterday and this is what Andrew did when he got thirsty. We thought it was pretty cute!

Andrew got a lot of time outside last week. While Daddy was studying and working on completing his finals we hung out with friends, played outside and tried to stay busy. There were some very long days just Mommy & Drew (7:00 am- 11:00 pm) but we made it and Matt is officially done with the Spring 09 semester.

Andrew got this toy as an early birthday present. I bought it from a friend of mine that has an online yard-sale for $3.00. What a deal. Andrew loves it! Andrew will be 1, just one week from today. I can not believe how fast the time has gone. My little boy is growing up.

Today I am celebrating my FIRST Mother's Day. What a joy it has been being a mom. I feel this is what the Lord has called me to do and that I am living out my dream being a mom. I am so thankful for my beautiful, healthy son and my forgiving, loving husband. What a blessed mother and wife I am.

When we take Andrew outside to play in the yard, this is how he gets around. It is pretty darn cute. I guess he does not like to get his knees dirty. He is darn cute if you ask me! Plus get a load of those chunky legs...i just love them!
