Well, he did it! After little sleep, 8 hours of driving and cool weather in a tent, Matt and his friends leave the parking lot of the Chick-Fil-A in Joplin, MO with another year of FREE Chick-Fil-A!

Good job, honey! I am proud of you and glad you are home! :)

Quick Chick-Fil-A Update...

Well the guys made it! Matt ran to check in at around 6:00 PM and got #88. So as long as he can last the cold weather (which I don't doubt it) then he will be traveling home with 52 MORE free value meal coupons.

And he is off...

To another Chick-fil-a Grand Opening.

Matt and two of his friends from the seminary left today after class (at 12:15) to travel to Joplin, MO to another opening of a new Chick-fil-a. They had the car packed up with warm clothes, sleeping bags, extra socks and blankets. Joplin, MO is about 4 hours south from St. Louis which makes it about 10 degrees warmer but it will still be in the 30's tonight. Those boys will do anything for FREE CHICK-FIL-A!

The guys called to the opening today and at about noon there were only 10-15 people there. I hope after a four hour drive the boys come away with their 52 free value meals.

Matt said before he left, "Well, I am going to be the hunter and gatherer today."

I will let you know how his journey turns out...

Publix subs in Missouri!

On the way home from church yesterday I was having a craving. I told Matt and wanted a chicken tender Publix sub. As most of you already know I am a BIG Publix Grocery Store fan. I know it is just a grocery store but to me it is more. Publix has the BEST ice-cream, subs and off-brand items. I LOVE IT!
Anyways, Matt said Publix was just to far to drive for lunch. I convinced him we could make them at home. The deal was we had to keep the grocery bill under $10.00. Well, it was a success. We made the best chicken tender subs at home- I am up for a challenge Publix!

TASTING...

LOVING...

I am an AUNT!

This evening around 10:45 PM my first niece was born. Her name is Grace Cole Christianson and she weighted in at 5 pounds, 6 ounces and was 18 inches long- a tiny one! My sister and Grace are doing well and everyone is excited about her healthy arrival. Praise the Lord for life and babies!
Now if I can stand two more weeks before I get to see Mom and Baby!
(I will post pictures as soon as i get them)!

24 Weeks!

I can hardly believe I only have 3 more months to go! I am still feeling great and full of energy (Seriously!) I know I have some hard months ahead of me but I am enjoying this pregnancy thing! I feel the little guy all the time- he kicks in the morning a lot, and always after I eat ice-cream :)! Matt has enjoyed feeling him kick too!

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope you all enjoyed your Valentines Day with whom ever you spent it with! Matt and I went to dinner at Chick-fil-a (it was free) and then we walked around Babies R Us and did some registering. I guess that is how you spend Valentines Day on a budget. We had a great time enjoying each others company. This was our 9th v-day together! I love you honey!

This picture was take almost 4 years ago at our wedding rehearsal.

Freezer Meal Frenzie

Today two of my friends came over and we put together 9 freezer meals. I have been wanting to do this before the baby comes so today was our first time at it. We each chose 3 meals, made up a shopping list and put them together this morning. Since it was our first time we had some mess- ups (like how I spilled Chicken & Wild Rice soup all over the table and the floor) but overall we had a great time. By the end of the it, Matt and I counted 18 meals in our freezer. We will be doing this for sure again before the baby comes!
